Ask a local grocery store if your team can pack groceries for their customers.  The grocer benefits because they are supporting community groups with no financial cost and your team will benefit from tips and pehaps ticket sales if you have a table set up at the door. 

Here are some things to think about:

• Decorate jars with team logo for placement at each cash register to collect tips from customers for packing groceries.
• Create a schedule if you don't need the whole team at one time.  Make sure there is lots of adult supervision.
• Make sure that your team is old enough.  This probably is not a good idea for any kids under the age of 11.
• Instructions on how to pack groceries - Ensure that the children have been instructed on how to pack groceries.
• Instructions on being polite - The kids should smile and say thank you even when they don't receive a tip.
• Contact grocers at the very beginning of the season or even before the season starts to get on the list as the available timeslots will fill up very fast.
